HUMMER HUMVEE H1 AND HUMMER HUMVEE BERSERK

Lobster 'bout 2006 model. Even though they went belly-up in 2010 after tryin' to sell to China, they're still bein' made over in China.

Fast forward to the Humvee version around 2025, still rocking that '80s look with a few modern tweaks here and there.

This monster of a vehicle was cooked up by the former military division of AM General back in the early 1980s. AM General, originally part of the bankrupt American Motors Corporation (AMC). When Renault snagged up AMC Motors in 1982, about three years after AM General started cooking up the Hummer concept in 1979, they couldn't take over the Hummer concept due to U.S. law prohibiting foreign companies from acquiring military divisions.

Hammer as a prototype from the 70s/80s. It looks like vehicles from around World War II.

From 1982 to 1984, the Americans kept fine-tuning this war machine. In 1985, the first models rolled off the production line, mostly destined for war and all built as military hardware.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the man himself, got his hands on the first civilian Hummer in 1991.

Six years later, these bad boys proved to be invincible in the American Gulf War in 1991. That same year, Schwarzenegger became the proud owner of the world's first civilian Hummer.

Starting in 1992, General Motors (GM) started selling the Hummer as a civilian model, turning it into a real sales sensation despite its hefty price tag.

I remember seeing quite a few of them here in Norway from the late '90s to the early 2000s. However, the climate talks led by Al Gore brought the production to a screeching halt in 2006, and in 2010, Hummer went bankrupt. But fear not, for the Hummer rose from the ashes as a fully electric model from 2020. I'm also throwing in some pictures of the Hummer H1, supposedly a 2025 model, all sporting that bold '80s design.
