Saipa Nissan Patrol, Saipa Jeep Wrangler!

Ah done wrote blog posts ’bout these rigs before, though back then Ah was jawin’ mostly ’bout the Nissan Patrol Y60. Down in Iran they just kept that ol’ beast alive clean through 2001, and by 2003 they was still crankin’ out versions called the Nissan Patrol K160 — which, fer that matter, was the predecessor ta the one Ah talked ’bout earlier.

Head on down ta Iran an’ snag yerself a Saipa Sahra — basically their own rough-an’-ready spin on the ol’ Jeep Wrangler spirit — or maybe a Pars Khodro Phazan. Then drive that sucker home like a completely unhinged Iranian desert racer an’ you got yerself one helluva badass street-ridin’ 4x4.

The Pars Khodro Phazan? Shoot, that thing looks born fer huntin’, mountain roads, busted suspension, mud pits, an’ flyin’ sideways through dirt like some outlaw shepherd king.

But the Saipa Sahra? Nah, partner — that one’s fer beaches, loud music, cheap sunglasses, hot asphalt, an’ tryin’ ta impress every gal within eyesight while the engine ticks loud enough ta scare off seabirds.
