Lada 2105 and 2104, true classics

I remember some old neighbors of my mom and dad owning Lada 2105 and 2104 Classic,
back when they were retirees and now they are sadly no longer with us. But despite these models reminding me of anold couple cruising at snail's pace up and down my childhood street,
there's no doubt that Lada 2105 and 2104 are powerful machines!
Lada 2104 and 2105 are said to have appeared in two background scenes during the car chase in the
movie Ronin, although they flashed by in a fraction of a second. But it was enough for me to catch a
glimpse!

I also have an experience with a Lada 2104 from Notodden. My dad and I often drove past Notodden
on our way to the cabin. We used to stop for gas at the station in Notodden.
One time, we were parked there, and just as my dad was about to fill up, a screeching Volvo 240
station wagon pulled into the lot. There was a scream followed by a slamming door of a Volvo 240.
The person who rushed out gave us a nasty look and hurried into the convenience store.
Shortly after, a red Lada 2104 emerged, rattling and eventually roaring on a worn-out old exhaust system.
A guy with long, greasy, ponytailed hair, sweaty and dressed in a greasy mechanic's jumpsuit
(looking like a well-worn russ outfit), was tinkering and rusting that tired exhaust system like crazy.
It was a sight to behold! And that's how you can be a råner (car enthusiast) with an old Lada 2104.
After all, they were built all the way until 2010. The Riva model was the last one to roll out of the factory.
