Toyota Hiace MK5 and MK6
Y'see them Toyotas in them first two snaps? Well, they were the last of their breed to roll off the lots in the West. Production came to a screechin' halt 'cause of that Japan nuclear plant mishap. Them rides were a hit in places like Finland, the British Isles, Sweden, and Norway. And Norway was the final stop on the European tour before the curtain dropped on this model.
"Now, them Toyota Hiace Mk5 and Mk6, well, they're just plain cool for gettin' sideways. You can whip 'em 'round with either four-wheel or rear-wheel drive. And if you're feelin' fancy, you can spruce 'em up with some '80s chrome tail fins, tinted windows, extra lights, and a dangly wünderbaum. The other Hiace you see there, well, it kept on truckin' till 'round 2018-2019, albeit abroad."
This here's a camper version of the MK4, kickin' up dust overseas, lookin' mighty familiar like that ride I done mentioned in them earlier blog posts.
Down below and up top, you're eyeballin' some slick retro-styled versions of the Toyota Hiace MK7 from the 2020s, but they're throwin' back to them rad versions from the '80s and '90s.
